Luckily, most hardware stores sell outlet and light switch plate foam gaskets that eliminate air leakage to keep your home airtight.
Turn Your Thermostat Down When You’re Not Home
While it’s nice to come home to a perfectly temperature-controlled home, there’s really no reason to spend money heating or cooling your home when nobody is around to enjoy it. Set your thermostat closer to the outside temperature than you normally would, or turn it off during mild weather, and you can save up to 10 percent on your energy bill throughout the year.
